School is already nuts. I'm taking a Fabric Design class in which I was assigned 4 different things to complete by Thursday, on top of the homework I have for two Education classes and an Art History course. Oh, and I have 30 hours of elementary clinical experience to complete. I'm meeting my cooperating teacher and touring the school later today. Nerve-wracking, but exciting!

I turned in my application for Guy Healy Japan, and got an email back last night saying they'd let me know of my acceptance on or before March 15th. So in the back of my mind for the next few months I'll be freaking out and praying I got accepted. Send me good wishes and pray I get to go as well!

My name is Nichol, but my friends call me Nikki. I'm the voice of New Era Artwork.

I'm an Art Education major working on my degree at Augustana College. I also speak a bit of Japanese, and intend to travel to Japan next summer.
I teach Japanese and Creative Writing classes at Woodlawn Arts Academy in IL. Yes, I do a bit of writing too. I actually do a bit of everything art-related, but my strongest areas are in photography and painting.

I'm hoping to branch out as a porfessional artist starting this year and begin selling my work through craft stores and fairs. I'm also looking to start investing in gallery showings.
